Hi everyone!

I would like to start collecting feedback as to which kinds of guest speakers would be helpful for the group. This can be anything from Designers to Coders to Content Writers.

Anything to do with the Web is fair game and I'll do my best to get us some industry professionals on campus for the group.

So, what's it going to be?

I would like to hear some discussion regarding content on the web. How do we know if we're presenting too much/too little? What are some strong benchmarks to help us determine what should be content in a page versus what should be downloadable content. As I'm not the content expert, I find it difficult to go to the department chairs and say to them, "You have too much content, slim it down." I'd much rather be able to pull some research or case studies that discuss what is preferable to web readers and search bots. This way, I have some clout when approaching our content experts with changes to our content.
